The Race Is Done

Will Hurd lost the run-off election to Francisco “Quico” Canseco. I will be voting for Mr. Canseco because there is no alternative … we simply cannot send Ciro back to Washington DC. Mr. Canseco can beat Ciro. Why? … because Ciro is beatable and Texas and the country will be all the better for it.

My concern is that I believe Mr. Canseco will be a run of the mill Congressman. Will Hurd is not run of the mill. I believe that his loss is our loss too. Will would have been a stand-out Congressman. Why do I say that? … because he always has been outstanding in whatever he’s done. Will is going to go on and do great things and be an effective voice for the Republican Party and for conservatives. Men and women like Will, will bring a new generation of conservatives into the party, as well as women and minorities. He and the young people around him will show others that it is cool to be Conservative and a Republican and that the two can go hand in hand.

I’m thankful to Will and his campaign manager Barry Hammond, I got more from the campaign that I ever put into it. I know that they will stay in the fight. Our country needs leaders like them in the coming years. We aren’t out of the woods, we are just entering them. We are going to need more young conservative men and women with solid values, morals, and ethics to lead us through those woods and march with us during the difficult times that lay ahead. Will was already battle tested when he entered the race and Barry has proven to be ready, willing and able to take on a fight. I have every confidence they will be back stronger, bolder, and more determined to make a difference than ever.

Thank you Will Hurd and Barry Hammond for renewing my faith in the next generation of leaders.

There you have it.
Pass it on if you like or let me know if I don’t have a clue.

Eddie
