In my last blog I said that 2010 was a strange year, I also said that I thought 2011 could be a strange one, too. And yes, we’ve had a strange beginning in 2011. We’ve seen and heard of some remarkable things. In Egypt, Egyptian Muslims used themselves as human shields to protect Christian Egyptians going to church (this is good). In Arkansas, thousands of birds have mysteriously been dying, and in other parts of the country sea life is turning up dead. In the NLF, the Seattle Seahawks (a team with a losing record) won a playoff game. In Arizona, one of the country’s hotbeds (literally and figuratively), has seen a terrible assassination take place.
I know I said that there would be homicide bombings taking place here in the U.S…. but the year is young. However, the bombing in Egypt on New Years day disturbed me. Remember, I’m hoping that I’m wrong about attacks. The first week of this year has been a strange one. Earlier in the week the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives (Nancy Pelosi) said that she and the Democrats have been focused on a pay-as-you-go policy regarding spending … has she been drunk or on crack for the last four years? The new Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives has had trouble keeping himself composed. One of them can’t remember what has happened under her watch, the other can’t stop crying. That’s weird.
I wonder what the rest of this month will bring.
There you have it.
Pass it along if you like or let me know if I don’t have a clue.
